The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity is proud to be hosting an event at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium on Wednesday 8 November 2023, alongside a panel of business professionals as part of Leicester Business Festival 2023.
Titled ‘Everything you always wanted to know about starting a business but were afraid to ask’, the event will run between 10am-12pm and take on a ‘Question Time’ format, designed for new business start-ups and people who want to grow their business.
Our panel of professionals and new business gurus will be sharing their do’s and don’ts and successes and failures of life in business.
The audience is in charge, and the panel is at your disposal. Ask anything you like and expect an honest answer full of wisdom, inspiration and hopefully some humour too!
MEET THE PANEL
Panel Chair:
Lucy Womack – Chair of the Sir Thomas White Loan Charity. She’s passionate about funding new businesses in Leicestershire and Rutland.
Panel:
Ben Ravilious – Founder of Leicester Startups and tech wizard, everyone in Leicester knows him. Or should.
Sally Birch – Owner of the award-winning and iconic shop, Karma Corner, in Clarendon Park – she’s started a new business from scratch and knows what she’s talking about!
Sam Purvis – Managing Director, The Compass Partnership. Staff issues, management issues, need to get the best from your employees? Sam will sort it.
Mark Taft – Enterprise Manager, Natwest Group. If numbers and business plans are your weak spot, Mark’s your man.
Dhilon Devji – Owner of Dhil’s Eats, and vegan street food expert. Dhil’s new business is a huge success – ask him what he’s learnt on the way.
Oscar Ford – Owner of Anuncia, a digital marketing agency specialising in pay-per-click advertising. Oscar is also an ambassador of STWLC.
